Established in 1910, the Boy Scouts of America Orange County Council prepares young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetime by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law. In 2017, we provided quality education, leadership skills and outdoor adventure across Orange County to 19,739 young people, ages 5-20, through the Scouting programs of Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Venturing and Exploring.
Additionally, our four outdoor facilities provided educational and camping experiences to more than 55,000 young people in Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, local school districts, youth organizations and individual youth and families.
We annually support nearly 10,000 registered adult volunteers/mentors who contribute more than 1 million volunteer hours, annually, to the Scouting program.
