The Mission of the Boy Scouts of America, Alamo Area Council is to prepare young people to make ethical choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law. The Alamo Area Council, with its headquarters in San Antonio, Texas, serves a 13 county area providing the Scouting program to over 29,000 youth and over 6,000 adults in south Texas. The Council is also involved in the ScoutReach program that provides service to youth in the community through schools and organizations in the area.
