Food Outreach
Food Outreach is a St. Louis area organization whose mission is to provide nutritional support and enhance the quality of life of low-income men, women, and children living with HIV/AIDS or cancer. It was founded in 1988 by friends caring for friends living with HIV/AIDS and then expanded in 2006 to include those with cancer. In 2015, more than 534,000 meals were provided to 2,000+ clients in need. Food Outreach is run by nine full-time employees, one part-time employee, and over 700 volunteers who cook, pack and distribute meals.
